PurpleHere POS v3.28 Update
What's New
Install Purple POS as a desktop & mobile app
You can now install Purple POS like a native app — on Windows, macOS, Android, and iPhone — with a single click. No app store required. Your dashboard runs in its own window, with a dock/home-screen icon, and stays signed in.
- One-click install on Chrome, Edge, and Safari (desktop + mobile)
- Visit
/installfor step-by-step guides per device - Works alongside your existing browser — installation is reversible
Push notifications for orders, payments, and operations
Get OS-level alerts even when the app is in the background. New orders, kitchen alerts, payment confirmations, and supplier purchase orders ping your device the moment they happen.
- New orders, kitchen overdue, payment received, low stock, staff call
- Per-category on/off (turn off marketing, keep transactional)
- Quiet hours support (e.g. mute push from 22:00 to 08:00)
- In-app sound alert with chime, plus a stacked toast at the top-right
- iOS 16.4+ required for push (older iOS still supports the installable app)
Self-managed restaurant mode
For brand and foodcourt managers tracking outlets that don't run Purple POS directly, you can now register a restaurant in data-only mode without forcing a subscription. Activate POS subscription later from Edit when you're ready.
Supplier subscription endpoint
Supplier admins can now query their own subscription via /api/subscriptions/my-plan (previously returned 403).
Mobile responsive polish
Forms, modals, and order detail headers now stack to a single column on phone screens. Especially helpful for supplier admins managing orders on the go.
Smaller fixes
- Staff Manager edit modal now shows the username (was blank)
- Login page language selector cleanly aligned to the login card's top-right corner
