PurpleHere POS v3.36 Update

What's New in v3.36

Customer Display stability

  • Clear guidance modals when Customer Display can't open on a second monitor (5 reasons: permission denied, no secondary screen, popup blocked, fallback for Safari/Firefox, opened)
  • Hidden popup recovery — clicking Customer Display now always brings the window back, even if it was lost behind another monitor
  • New Reset Position button in Settings → Customer Display (Printer tab). Clears any stale saved position so the popup re-centers on your main screen. Drag once to your second monitor and the new spot is remembered
  • Window Management permission check before opening

Responsive POS for 10-12" touch monitors

  • Sidebar slims down to 180px (from 220px), giving more room to your menu, orders, and dashboards on small POS monitors
  • On screens ≤1280px wide, the second-level menu auto-collapses into a hover popover (hover any first-level category to reveal its sub-pages) — same pattern as Stripe and Notion. 13" (1366×768) screens keep both menus expanded
  • Live resize — drag your browser window narrower and the layout adapts instantly. No reload needed
  • When you fully collapse the sidebar via the « toggle, the bottom area (Refer & Earn, Install App, Language, your profile) reorganizes into a clean icon rail with hover tooltips
  • Logo and toggle arrow now have proper breathing room

Settings → Printer tab polish

  • The QZ Tray status row, Bill/Kitchen Printer IP fields, and Test Print buttons now wrap gracefully on narrow widths instead of overflowing

As always, refresh with Ctrl+Shift+R (or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) to load the new build.
