PurpleHere POS v3.79 Update

Bulk Link — set up stock, suppliers and products in one pass

Until now, connecting a stock item to a supplier product meant doing it one row at a time. For a kitchen with hundreds of items that was a day's work, so it simply never got finished — and items with no supplier attached cannot be ordered.

The new Bulk Link screen (under Inventory / Purchasing) does the whole list in one submission.

  • Pick a source: your company stock list, or a seller's catalogue
  • Every row shows what it would become, and rows that already exist in your inventory are matched for you
  • Choose per row: link to the existing item, create a new one, or leave it out
  • Submit once — the screen reports exactly what was created, linked, skipped, or failed

Matching is a suggestion, never an automatic merge

Only exact name matches are proposed, and you confirm every one. Nothing is merged behind your back, so two similar-looking items never silently collapse into one.

Coverage tab

A single view of what is still missing: ingredients used in recipes that have no supplier attached and therefore cannot be ordered, and recipes with no ingredients linked yet.

Cost stays yours

Supplier prices are only written into your item cost if you tick that row. Costs you set by hand are never overwritten by an import.

Order-only items

Products you buy but do not count as stock can be added as order-only. They appear in purchasing without joining your stock counts, and you can switch counting on later if you want it.

Also in this release

  • Purchase orders sent to suppliers now lead with the supplier's own product name and SKU, so the receiving side can match items against their own warehouse — applied to past orders too
  • Fixed the Print button on a supplier's purchase order inbox
  • Purchase order quantity steppers now move by 1 for countable units, and by decimals only for weight and volume
  • Inventory list: category filter, out-of-stock filter, and a clear marker for items with no supplier attached
  • Longer product names now display in full across purchasing and inventory screens
